Corton Plants is a family-run plant nursery nestled in the heart of the beautiful Ayrshire countryside at South Corton Farm, Alloway. Our story is one of heritage, hard work, and a deep love for plants.

Home to the Kerr family—Willie, Alison, and their children David and Joanne—South Corton Farm has been passed down through five generations. Today, Willie and David proudly carry on the family tradition of dairy farming, caring for a thriving herd of 220 Holstein Friesian cows. Meanwhile, Alison and Joanne lead the way at Corton Plants, supported by a dedicated and knowledgeable team of plant lovers.

Established in 2004 by Alison Kerr, Corton Plants has flourished from a single poly-tunnel into a traditional nursery with seven tunnels and over 200 plant varieties. From vibrant bedding plants to hardy perennials, all our plants are lovingly grown right here in Ayrshire.

We are passionate about what we do—and it shows. You will find quality, locally grown plants at fair prices, and expert guidance to help you make the most of your garden. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just getting started, our team is here to offer friendly, personal advice on choosing and caring for your plants.

Excitingly, we’re expanding! A brand new gift shop has been built in one of our converted barns. This charming space will offer a carefully curated selection of frozen foods, gift cards, and quirky cow-themed items—perfect for those who love a little rural charm. It’s another way we’re growing our offering while staying true to our farming roots.

Conveniently located just off the A77, we offer ample parking and a peaceful countryside setting for you to browse at your leisure. Corton Plants is more than just a nursery—it's a gardener’s haven built on passion, integrity, and a love for growing.
