Our sloe gin post got quite a bit of interest so we thought we could maybe encourage some of you to take part in our SLOE GIN COMPETITION!! The winner of our taste test will win £100 of The Coo Shed vouchers! To make your own sloe gin: Pick 500g of sloes Wash them thoroughly and pat dry. Prick each berry with a fork or cocktail stick Put into a jar/bottle and add 250g of castor sugar. Then add one litre of your favourite gin! Give it a good shake and place in a dark cupboard. Shake the bottle vigorously each day for a week and then every week for three months. More instructions will follow…… We have a master judge ready for the BIG TASTE, so get out there and get picking!
